Karachi witnessed four exciting days of strategy, focus, and competitive spirit as the 4th National Youth Chess Championship took place from 5th to 8th January at CMA Community Hall, Karachi. Organized by the Karachi Chess Academy, the event brought together young chess players from across Pakistan, all eager to test their skills at a national level.
The tournament followed a FIDE-rated classical format (90+30 time control), giving players the chance to think deeply, plan carefully, and experience professional-level competition. With categories ranging from Under-8 to Under-18 for both boys and girls, the championship truly celebrated the future of Pakistani chess.
Under the supervision of Chief Organizer Saira Leghari and National Arbiter Hassan Tariq Akhter, the event ran smoothly, maintaining a professional yet encouraging atmosphere for young competitors.
