A Great Start to the New Year for Mahrez!

We are happy to share that on 11th January 2026  our student Mahrez Fayyaz participated in the Chess Edicts New Year Open Tournament held at Coderatory, Code 3. He competed against many talented players and showed excellent focus throughout the competition.

The tournament was quite tough with 7 rounds in Swiss format with a Time Control of 15 + 10. Mahrez performed brilliantly winning 5 out of possible 7 points and against some tough opponents too.

Because of his score he got First position in Under - 14 Category. This victory is not only a proud moment for the Academy but a great start of a new year for Mahrez as well. We congratulate Mahrez on his success and are excited to support him as he prepares for his next big challenge!
