Mahrez Fayyaz, was absolutely on fire in 28th Karpov Junior Chess Tournament on September 28, 2025, proving he's a young master of the game

Mahrez showed amazing skill in the Seven-round Swiss system competition. The tournament was played under the official FIDE laws, with players given 15 minutes plus 10 seconds.  Out of a possible seven points, Mahrez secured a phenomenal six points, making him a top contender and an absolute standout among his peers.

To score six points in such a quick-paced tournament format—where you only have 15 minutes per game—requires incredible focus and fast, accurate thinking.
