Shining Moment Of Our Young Chess Star “Mahrez Fayyaz”

What an exciting day it was for our Young Chess Star Mahrez Fayyaz. On September 7th at the Karpov Chess Club located in Karachi, the Genesis star participated in Karpovians 27th Junior Chess Tournament (Under 10) and won the event with a flawless 7/7 score. Surprising is the fact that it was his third time winning the tournament with a perfect 7/7 at the same venue.

Notable second position was secured by Feras Fehem Hashmi, a 7 and a half year old kid who scored an incredible 5 points.

Mahrez won back to back seven games, making smart moves one after another with some of the best talents throughout the city. The swiss format Chess tournament was the real test of focus and resilience and our star kid handled it like a pro throughout the tournament.

Mahrez has now bagged over all 8 Tournament wins accross the town in a span of only 30 days, which is a record itself.

This victory is a story of countless hours of practice, staying consistent even after setbacks and the first hand dedication this Young Chess player puts into every game and every move. This truly shows his love and passion for Chess as a Young Chess enthusiast.
