HUGE WIN! Our Instructor Dominates Karachi Chess Team Trials!

The city eye witnessed strong competition on Saturday, November 29th during the selection trials for the Karachi Men’s Chess Team. A huge number of Masters competed to reserve their spot for the selection of the final team. The stakes were high as the only top six performers out of all would get selected to represent Karachi upcoming Inter-city competitions

And guess who absolutely crushed it?? Our very own Instructor “Sir Tayyab Ali” from Genesis Chess Academy secured a top spot for the Karachi Men’s Chess Team with 4.5 points out of 5. And with only top six places his performance as the Number one player was outclassed.

A Big shoutout to rest of the players who secured the remaining spots, with Alhaaj Mehmood being determined and reserve his spot as a second best player out of 6 with 4 points and while Raif Jafri finished closely behind, securing third place with 3.5 points.

These trials have truly highlighted the strength of the Chess players of Karachi and their passion for Chess which is truly inspiring for many chess players. We're excited to follow the final selection process and cheer on the six players who will form the official Karachi Men’s Chess Team!
