Chess is crucial for kids as it enhances critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and strategic planning. It fosters patience, concentration, and sportsmanship, contributing to overall cognitive development and Academic performance.
Chess can positively impact kid's personal life by instilling valuable qualities such as patience, resilience, and discipline. It also enhances their ability to cope with challenges, make decisions, and strategize effectively, which can translate into improved self-confidence and Social skills.
For kids ages 5 to 7 it generally takes 22 to 24 sessions to learn a fair chess game. Whereas for kids ages 8 to 12 it takes 12 to 14 sessions.
No, a physical Chess board isn't necessary for online classes. At GCA, we use Chess.com Classroom. This platform offers interactive features and tools that simulate the experience of playing on a physical board, making them suitable for online instruction. Whereas for voice and video options, Google Meet is used.
Although Chess can be learnt at any age but many experts suggest starting around age 5 or 6 when children can grasp the rules and concepts effectively. Starting at this age can result in quickest progress and higher over-all achievement.
Personalized Chess Training offers a Kid-centered learning model. The Trainer makes sure that the Kid is doing the right lesson at the right pace suitable for them through teaching and assessing repeatedly.
Whereas online platforms like YouTube lack the concept of reinforced learning and the Kid is totally on their own thus resulting in little or no progress.
